A Time Saving LCD TV Repair Tip for a Samsung LN32A330J1D

Samsung_LCD_TV

Here's a quick LCD TV repair tip for a Samsung LN32A330J1D 32 inch set. The set had come in for a no power up condition.

It would not come out of standby, and the power LED would blink red "slowly" about every 5 seconds or so.

Power_Supply_Board

Since I've seen this before, I knew that the power supply was at fault. Here's An Inside TIP. You can do a visual inspection of the power supply board, after removing the rear cover.

MCM Electronics Brand

Although you really can't see the defect in the photo above (sorry about that), there was a defective electrolytic capacitor in the power supply board. You can see a good example of this defect in the photo below...

Swollen_Caps

Although the photo above is of a VCR, it shows a very good example of two "Swollen" capacitors, and a glimpse of a "normal" one just below the finger.

The tops of these components, should look perfectly flat (not bulged out), and in this case leaking internal fluid. This is a typical lcd tv repair. And a typical failure with the Samsung LN32A330J1D TV.

TV_Fixed

After exchanging the power supply board, "Viola!" good as new. The manufacturer's original part number is : BN44-00191B But You Can SUBSTITUTE It With : BN44-00192B. Go ahead and high-lite the second number and copy it with your mouse, and you can get it at .
